a view of St.Pauls from the Millenium Bridge...sketch
......this is a quick sketch i enjoyed painting the other day of a view i love of St. Pauls from the Millenium Bridge ...in the rain St. Pauls appears so white.
hi maggie ...so glad you like the colours umb cyan raw sienna ... have been making gouache colour swatches ...need to paint a monochrome townscape for my wc course
You live there? Where do you vacation....my town??? I like it a lot Jane, I often prefer work that looks "unfinished," especially by people who could finish it if they wanted to. (big difference!) There's a green house next to a small bridge adjacent the Santa Maria della Salute -I want to live in: "my house!" lat=45.4301774703, lon=12.3343454461
Figure out how I'm going to swing that, and I'll owe a gelato!!
hello nick ...you've made me smile here ... not a bad location "your house" ! i want to visit "magazzino del sale" so will make a point to see "your house" and will make a few enquiries ..you never know ...will see what we can find out for you :)gelato sounds good . i liked what happened with the sky and st pauls section ..lost it a bit after that ..thankyou so much for your words of encouragement.
Gelato sounds pretty chintzy on second thought. How about lunch at Florian? I refuse to be ripped off at Harry's Bar again. That section is the superlative of the painting for me!
Jane, I love the colours in this.....
