Portrait Practice - inspired by Jean Haines step by step

this is my intial attempt following Jean's Haines "step by step" The Laird in her new book How to Paint COLOUR & LIGHT in watercolour
no prelimary sketch ..i didn't have white gouache with me whilst we were sailing so didn't add the finishing details .

    Well, her book must be successful, because when I saw your painting, I thought, "That looks like Jean Haines!" She's so terrific and you have done a super job with this!
