....I promised to share a few photos from my first solo exhibition for family friends and fellow bloggers .... hope it gives you some idea of the space and exhibition ..... thankyou once again to everyone who came last week.
......here's a link to my new website where you can see many of the paintings that were exhibited
Dear Jane,
RispondiEliminaOnce again, CONGRATs!!! I love the last photo mostʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ!!
Cheers, Sadami
thankyou again !!! sadami
RispondiEliminaJane, what a wonderful and interesting space for your show. Your paintings look lovely. I know you have put in a lot of hard work for this. The mounted/matted paintings in the second pic....are these framed under glass? I really like them.
RispondiEliminaYour paintings are very beautiful on those walls! Congratulations Jane! Lots of success!
RispondiEliminaInteresting feeling to see on the walls the paintings which I admired before in the blog post. Great. My warmest congrats!
RispondiEliminahi there maggie thank so much ..in the second photo the grapes vintage i e ii are just simply mounted no glass ... i decided to only framed 3 out of 30 ...the space is really fantastic with all the openings views and connections it has a wonderful double height central space with a glass roof with the lightwell in the middle ... the natural light is beautiful... will have to start painting at a larger scale !there was alot of work involved to set up the exhibition as it isn't a gallery space from hanging the paintings to white washing walls ..wouldn't have been possible without the support an hep of my family .
RispondiEliminacrossed post judy and irina
RispondiEliminahi judy thankyou for your kind comment.
hello irina ..it's the first time i've seen most of them on the wall ...thanks irina for looking again .

All the best for the show Jane and thank you for sharing the photos. I am wondering how you can attach the mounted paintings onto the wall without a frame! I wish we did more of that over here as it gives buyers the choice of a frame that would suit their own home and tastes.
RispondiEliminahi there caroline good to see you ..the paintings were backed with card and i attached 2 fixtures on the back 1/3 way down tying fishing line / nylon between.... hanging them from nails on the wall with the fixtures hidden (as with a tradition painting) or suspended them with wires from the old beams ... i was concerned about my decision not to frame most of them but i think it worked out ok given the size of the paintings the fact the exhibition was only for week and the nature of the space ... of the paintings i sold i have to change one of the framed ones ! ... you are so right...thanks so much caroline .
RispondiEliminaJane, congratulations with you exhibition, your paintings look wonderful in the building.

Jane... your exhibition looked wonderful!!!!!! What an interesting venue! Your idea of matting your paintings only was a great move and still enhanced the paintings beautifully. Did you have many sales?
