...our top field is a mass of wild flowers at the moment  ....posting an initial watercolour wash of a single wild daisy which I painted outside  this week .

  1. There's such an ethereal quality to this ... one would anticipate fairies lurk in that field, Jane.

    I'm really into wild flowers - it's almost possible to write a poem using their names alone.

    Ox-eye daisy - I wait to see what you may do with it, although it works for me as it is.

  5. Jane, I always admire the constraint you use when painting. You know when to stop before giving too much detail, yet we can see clearly the subject. That gives your watercolors such a lovely soft quality.

  7. Jane this is so gorgeous. Very delicate and great job done with yellow. Not an easy colour to get tonal variation with. Just lovely.

  17. This is a stunning daisy painting! I picked my watercolour brushes up for the first time in over a year yesterday and will post the results tomorrow! I am excited to have rediscovered them :0)
