  13. Lovely. This painting really demonstrates what you do so well ... Your wet-in-wet washes are so beautifully diffuse, yet don't lose their vibrancy or the sense of what you're painting. I wish I could do it!

  15. You are SO clever, Jane - these are magical.

    When the gardener takes cuttings from pinks, they call it 'piping'! I don't know why, but I heard it as a little boy and never forgot!
