......posting a few of my first plein air watercolour sketches of the New Year .... there was very little snow at the beginning of the week in the mountains the cold grey overcast sky enhanced the colours of the trees .... it was a treat to sketch outside .... ongoing challenge.

......posting a few of my first plein air watercolour sketches of the New Year .... there was very little snow at the beginning of the week in the mountains the cold grey overcast sky enhanced the colours of the trees .... it was a treat to sketch outside .... ongoing challenge.
These are so lovely--with the freshness and (apparent) ease that makes watercolors so appealing. You continue to inspire me to try to paint more wet-in-wet ... my ongoing challenge.

RispondiEliminaJane, absolutely beautiful. Really love the first one the way the white really carries the painting playing of against the muted and soft trees and atmosphere.

RispondiEliminaAbsolutely lovely Jane! I got fingerless gloves for Christmas-maybe I'll use them to paint outside! These are inspiring little paintings.
