update

18 months ago I fell and injured my back. The fall aggravated  a condition I have called  isthmic spondylolisthesis http://www.spine-health.com/video/isthmic-spondylolisthesis-video. With multiple disc bulges and nerve root compression both my legs were effected as well as my back  making walking , sitting and standing for prolonged periods difficult .

I have made a lot of progress for which I am grateful for . My treatment is conservative and on-going with physio therapy , exercises, stretching and pain management . Ozone therapy during the last nine months has given me hope and helped greatly with pain relief .

Artwise I have painted on and off in this period within my limitations . I am now feeling much more positive and the pain is managable so I can really start to focus on my artwork. I'm looking forward to posting and sharing on-line once again.

A word of thanks to anyone who has taken the time to visit my sketchbook and my facebook page during this time .

I am sure many people will remember Maggie Latham's ONE HUNDRED WASHES CHALLENGE blog from  Oct 2010 to Oct 2011 with artists Maggie Latham , Olivia Quintin , Christy Lemp  , Suzanne Lindfield , Theresa Evans , Vandy Massey and Jane Minter.

I'm sharing a  few photos from the collective exhibition "Benedetti Artisti" of my work inspired by the  environment  of the abandoned and dismissed  mill where the exhibition was held . The proposal of  my works explores and interprets the nature of the place, proposing the transformation of the natural element: the flour.

è una pittrice inglese, in mostra propone rappresentazioni a base di impasto di farina e acquerello - tecnica amata da Turner -  nella quali si leggono le fluorescenze naturali ma anche immagini di paesaggi e trasparenze di altre nature che pure appartengono al grande masterplan di nascita, morte, rinascita e trasformazione dove anche la rosa, i frutti, i monumenti si trasformano dando vita a qualcosa di nuovo.

is an English painter, who proposes in the exhibition  works  with a base of "impasto" -  flour and watercolour - a technique used by Turner - in which you read the natural fluorescence but also images of landscapes and transparencies of other natures which belong to the great masterplan of birth, death , rebirth and transformation where also the rose, the fruits, the monuments are transformed giving birth to something new.

An old disused mill has been temporarely transformed into a multifunctional space for contemporary art. The Molino Benedetti, sober architecture of the '50s, is located in Grisignano di Zocco and on Saturday, June 7th 2014  at 6pm will host "Benedetti Artisti" : paintings, installations, photography, sound interventions will break for a short interval of one month from the spell that  for years silenced the mill obsolescence. - In Grisignano di Zocco, Vicenza Italy .

 I've started to use the iPad  to manipulate photos of my watercolours . With "news"/ "notzie" I used  iPad's basic iPhoto App  to edit and create the digital image above.The next step will be to use this digital image and others to explore and generate ideas for new paintings .There is definately  a  lot of scope with this approach and a lot to learn. It's a brilliant design tool.
