watercolour wash # 98

"Crostoli"
Dolci di Carnevale

...... I painted this earlier this year at the end of Carnival  at the same time as I painted the Venetian Masks wash # 53 .. it was fun wash and an example of using bubble wrap to create texture in a wash .

  1. bubble wrap...what next?
I always admire artists who can paint the most "unbecoming" aspects of reality and make them glow with a new light and life. Thank you for sharing. By the way we call them frappe in Rome...

  2. Amazing piece Jane - I love the light on the foil container and the texture of the food. Is it like a crepe or a british pancake? It certainly looks delicious :)
