posting  my  painting  from this week's watercolour lesson with Marina Marcolin working from a photo in a 2 hour session ..... "wet in wet"  "wet on dry"

  11. What a lovely study. It is always tricky to capture movement and fabric convincingly in painitngs, but the sheet really does look like it is drying away nicely. There is plenty of atmosphere too.

  13. This is lovely, Jane. You have caught the light and shadows beautifully. I think that white is the hardest colour to paint because of how it radiates and also reflects all colours.

  23. What a beautiful 'white' painting, with an amazing range of tones and textures. The 'you might also like:' gave me a range of your white flower paintings - you have nailed white in watercolour it looks to me!
