..........posting another small texture swatch experimenting with watercolour on gesso collaged with tissue paper - inspired by both John Blockley and Ann Blockley - Ann Blockley's Watercolour Textures book is a fantastic reference on textures .
Magnífica textura, muy bien conseguida.
RispondiEliminaFirstly, the eye is impressed, and the senses are awed
RispondiEliminaSecondly, interest is roused
Thirdly the subconscious scans the database for a likeness ... 'Scotch in the Rocks'
Fourth ... a thirst!
The previous post looks like a Turner sunset with reflections on the water.
These experiments are really awe-inspiring and exciting ... bravo, Jane
I like the texture very much, I have two beautiful books of Ann, but not "watercolor textures."

RispondiEliminaI used this techique as the base for a large piece - Dragon Gate. I overlaid the original tissue and watercolour with oils and gold leaf, letting sections show through. The base like this leads to all sorts of experimentation. I shall have a look for Ann's book, thanks for sharing.
