  3. Gorgeous painting, Jane. Reminds me of many happy hours sorting my grandmother's cottons into colour order in their box when I was a child.

  4. the cotton reals are brilliant, beautiful washes and yes it reminds me of sewing with my mum too, I love artworks like this depicting everyday items that make beautiful little works of art! Gorgeous colours too!

  5. The first one was beautiful but this is even better - off center, more intimate because it's larger; and love the hint of the thread moving out and down. Now I'm waiting for a blue one! ha ha

  6. Instead of pushing "comment" button I did something else and found myself in the end of your blog page. So I scrolled back up and on the way realized that these small and beautiful and individual studies/pieces/experiments worth a successful personal exhibition. I very much hope it will happen soon.

  7. I loved the previous one, Jane but I think this one is excellent! I love the fine nuances of the thread and the soft washes. Great watercolour!

  8. Love this cotton reel, Jane. That one 'uncoloured' bit of the reel at the bottom left ...is a master touch!
