I love this!! I tried a poinsettia and it was not showable to anyone...lol! Your combination of loose and crisp edges is perfect. I really love the composition, too. It looks like you've used several types of w/c approaches, positive painting, negative painting... GREAT!!
just got back from uk ..thankyou so much anna ..have just admired your paintings and blog thankyou priti for your lovely comment ...happy new year to you both
So beautiful...Okay, I'm going to stop leaving comments now because I want to say "beautiful" on every one. If I could paint in watercolor, this is how I'd like to do it.
lovely work Jane.. you have a wonderfully fresh style... love both of these and it is a shame about copyright... makes you really wonder why someone would do something like that
jane, i'm speechless! i don't understand why someone would do such a thing? i went to laurie's blog and wanted to leave a comment but i'm not sure it's my place to scold someone for using another artist's work for their own or copying it. so not cool. i hope there is a good explanation. it's a lovely painting, i can certainly see someone coveting it.
rhonda i've just read your post "lets talk" thankyou for taking time to highlight what has happened and putting it in a wider context re copyright... it's so very kind of you rhonda ..i was angry and both sad when i posted yesterday...i've been told the post has already been removed .
Well Jane it seems you've been vindicated, her blog has been destroyed by hackers! I think that when your work gets pinched and boasted about it means they're just envious...you're certainly not a beginner, but a very sentitive and exquisite watercolorist. What about a watermark on your future posts? I know it spoils the beauty but saves your copyright.

This makes me sad and angry. I don't know why people do many of the things they do. Your work is inimitable.
