.....above are 3 examples of black salt flakes grinded finely on various washes of violet colbalt "wet on dry"

hi Blaga ...the watercolour washes are a great way to do just that :)
... but to leave them to do their thing without interfering with a brush.... is very hard... I love your experiments, Jane!

How cool! never used that kind of salt! It looks amazing!
I've used regular salt at work with the kids at the art studio and they love it. Works great with things that can use texture. A little 6 year old did a dark night sky with salt and it was very "starry" and I'd would have never thought of it for that.
