Hi Jane how do you manage to keep the flower so crisp looking within a very watery wash back ground? I am amazed at how beautiful and fragile this painting is.

Debbie ha detto...

So fresh Jane. I love the glow around the crocus. What did you use for the green?

Judy ha detto...

Really really beautiful! I don't understand how you do it either.

and you ...looks freezing cold where you are hilda thankyou

hi caroline made a few with different approaches ...with this one i started with the crocus "wet on dry" and worked outwards to the bg ... when it was dry i re - wet the paper drawing with water carefully around the crocus and adding yellow to initial wash ..thankyou for your lovely comment.

thanks debbie ... i used cad yellow + turq colbalt (W&N) + cyan (Venezia Maimeri) ..glad you met the deadline.
