we have quite a few of these large hand made  old wrought iron nails in the beams of our house ...they really are beautiful objects  ..the three loose nails which i've made sketches and studies are probably from 16th century .

An artist can make rusty nails something truly beautiful - this is what you've done! I so admire your watercolor studies from life and how your work never disappoints. Lovely, as always! And the Italian words are just as beautiful :)

Love how you manage to capture the essence of subject through colours and overcrowding it with details.

I love old rusty stuff like this. I have a small collection going. These nails are way cool and it's amazing there's enough of them left to hold anything together.

Underneath it all I am a Shipwright ... When I was in Kuwait I went on-board the largest wooden ship ever built. Al-Hashemi-II.

The Master Shipwright didn't speak English and I didn't speak Arabic, but we communicated really well. On leaving he gave me a nail such as those you have so beautifully painted.

As your painting suggests, a nail is a lot more than .... a nail.

Love your stuff, signed up as a follower, hope you don't mind.
