drawings and watercolours by jane minter
my watercolour portrait study WIP initial wash painted at Jean Haines watercolour workshop "Watercolour With Life "
I follow Jean's blog and dream to be at her workshop. Sometime. I think your watercolors are very light and airy and turned out great. teacher can be proud :-).
Wow Jane! That's beautiful! I bet that's a great workshop :)
Jane this was so exciting to watch develop. It is so refreshing to see an artist paint a subject in a completely different apporach with unique colours. If everyone had painted this portrait it could have looked identical following the original colours but here you shone as a very incredible and intelligent artist making a very unusual coloir combination create a striking effect. I adore how you work and can't wait to see what follows this year. I feel you have a very exciting time ahead of you and I am thrilled to have met you and come to know you as the caring individual you are,See you sooner than you think!Jean
How lucky of you to attend Jean's workshop. I love the subtlety and delicacy of your painting. Wonderful!
This is absolutely beautiful. Detail and suggestion combined.I hope you made it home before the volcano dust stopped air traffic out of England?
This is just too adorable Jane... it was exciting seeing this develop and Jean is right about the use of your individual style and colour... who would have thought that this would be so beautiful with these unique colours. Beautiful Jane!
