ciao jane ..i've had alot of encouragement from my mentor jean haines ....thankyou
Mi piace molto! Complimenti Jane, per freschezza e la spontaneità di questo girasole! Ciao!
When I first saw "Tree seeds" I thought of sunflowers. I like the way you used salt to create the seeds texture. All looks so deceivingly easy...
I would love to watch this being done - It's gorgeous!
I have seen many drawn and painted images of Sunflowers but yours is the first I've ever seen to show the "soul" and underlying softness of this plant. Beautiful.
Very fragile looking yet that centre of the flower has great depth. Beautiful work I especially love the colour Jane.
Dear Jane,
Interesting work! I have a feeling you're going to be a "master of wash." I admire your techniques and improvement work by work.
Cheers, Sadami
It does look easy but I know it's not easy to use salt and get the results you are getting - timing!! This could be a sunflower or those tree seeds you painted that were so lovely, or the eye of a falcon...
Wow, the contrast in texture is marvelous in this. Works perfectly!
I use salt when teaching the kids at the art studio but they haven't quite learned to use it where it makes sense. The little ones use it like they are putting it on french fries! (which is not so sophisticated but pretty fun!)
Looking at watercolor washes is a real joy! Thank you for sharing, Jane!
