winter woodland scene - watercolour class

"winter woodland scene"
inspired by Marina Marcolin
1/4 sheet arches 300g

wanted to share this  basic snow scene of a winter woodland scene i painted at class following my tutor's Marina Macolin demo ...i'm  finding each lesson  invaluable to practice and to just excercise various techniques brushstrokes and  approaches .

Very beautiful winter scene! It makes me rethink my attitude towards the snow outside :)

I like it. And I envy that you have the teacher of watercolors. Here watercolor is considered a stepdaughter of oils, one little step to the great oil art learning. (Besides, watercolor is media full of freedom, which was not popular in Soviet Russia))) So I will use your posts as learning material.

I finally got some computer time and dashed over to see what's new. Lovely as always. Your use of the properties of water color is so refreshing.
