watercolour lesson
inpsired Marina Macolin
had a wonderful lesson today........ Marina had brought some incredible references of Japenese paintings and gave a fantastic demo ....using small amounts of gesso , working "wet in wet" and "wet on dry" .

Fabulous! Really atmospheric!
I am amazed by the combination of watercolour and Japanese paintings!
Molto delicato e trasparente. Mi fa' sognare!
Wonderful atmospheric effects, Jane.
Semplicemente stupendo! Complimenti Jane.
Que gozada de acuarela,oooooooohhh.Saludos.
I like the soft lost edges. How much gesso is in there? An interesting concept. You are so good painting flowers in a loose style with lost edges. I find that really difficult.
Jean
Hi, Jane,
Beautiful. It reminds me of classic Japanese sumie.
Cheers, Sadami

hello dani everyone really enjoyed marina's class yesterday.
hi jean probably could have a few more hard edges in this one with darks ..left it here ... very little gesso you can hardly see it :)..marina created more texture on the bamboo which created a beautiful effect.
