This is lovely Jane. I really like how you have the layers of recession and the shadows. The light draws the viewer into this. Must have been so nice to be painting outside.

This is really lovely - nice values show depth and I like the wet and juicy watercolor. This even looks like a wet day - perhaps after a rain.
Its a hint of spring for me in this piece. I like the dept of field you've achieved with the shades of green.
Unfortunately, I have to wait longer for spring to be here.
This is very different from what we are used to seeing, but I really like it ! Oh, just noticed that Catharina said the same :-)

thankyou everyone for all your kind comments and feedback..it has been pouring with rain most of the week good to have sketched last w-e ..the hillside views are an on going challenge i'm surrounded by beautiful "vertical" views here.
Wonderful painting! It's sort of layered and hints of mist. I kept looking for elves and fairies ... it's their sort of environment.
I don't know if we are living in the clouds but it's raining and fog like!
