"old keys"
 watercolour sketch
AQUARELLE CLAIREFONTAINE
30 X 40cm

.....initial unfinished watercolour study of an assortment of old keys painted from life .  Studies are  often just a starting point.. I'm sharing this recent study  as I really liked the effect created by "washing off"  areas of some of the old keys ..I had to stop at this point .

Comme d'habitude, de simples objets du quotidien, sous tes pinceaux deviennent des splendeurs, j'ADORE.

We don't need to go too far away to find an exotic subject to paint. Most of the time the best effective subject matters are those we are familiar with. Wonderful!

Hello Jane:) You did a great job on these keys. They really look old. The rusty color with the great is a beautiful combination. Love it!
