update

18 months ago I fell and injured my back. The fall aggravated  a condition I have called  isthmic spondylolisthesis http://www.spine-health.com/video/isthmic-spondylolisthesis-video. With multiple disc bulges and nerve root compression both my legs were effected as well as my back  making walking , sitting and standing for prolonged periods difficult .

I have made a lot of progress for which I am grateful for . My treatment is conservative and on-going with physio therapy , exercises, stretching and pain management . Ozone therapy during the last nine months has given me hope and helped greatly with pain relief .

Artwise I have painted on and off in this period within my limitations . I am now feeling much more positive and the pain is managable so I can really start to focus on my artwork. I'm looking forward to posting and sharing on-line once again.

A word of thanks to anyone who has taken the time to visit my sketchbook and my facebook page during this time .

So good to hear from you Jane and glad your treatments are helping. You're too young to have these troubles! Prayers to you for ongoing health and comfort, and strength and spirit. We all miss you and hope you are able to return to the art world when you feel better. You have a great talent.

Hi, Jane, take it easy! How painful and shcocking things happend on! But you're brave and overcoming it. Furthermore, you're submlimating pains and difficulty into beauty and joy in art. Here I am!! I love your work and who you are in any context. I have a great empathy for your tough situation. I walked again eventually. Then, a physio confessed, "I expected you would never walk again." My rehab and treatment, too, are ongoing. Jane, I'll always cheer you up and support you with all my heart. Keep up your rehab and treatment that require a great patience and time. I believe Hope only visits a person who will never give up. You don't need to reply. Please put your life, health and family first. Best wishes, deep love, Sadami

I am so sorry to hear about your back injury, but I am glad that you are starting to feel better. I simply had a sciatica attack for a few weeks during the summer and the pain was excruciating and I could not wait to get better. I really feel for you and hope that every day will lessen the pain and bring some improvement. Take good care of yourself, Jane.

Dear Jane, I have only just found this post and am desperately sorry to hear of your painful injury. I too had a bad episode of back pain which resulted in surgery and a titanium implant in my spine, so I feel for you dear Jane. I really missed your lovely work on FB and assumed you were busy with your family, not realising the situation you were in. Please accept my apologies for not contacting you sooner and I do so hope your recovery continues to go well. With much love, Lindsay. XXX
