......posting a few more  washes from this week using  just white gouache and sepia ink ......on the hillside the trees are still relatively bare some houses  can still  just be seen before the season changes and everything  vanishes again. . The  initial washes above show two different view points exploring different application of ink and gouache.

many thanks sandra i like the tones of the sepia ink ..it's interesting working wet in wet with it .... the LAC watercolour and gouache course covered alot of ground with gouache ..lots to explore

thanks christiane i ran out of ink on the second one so it's unfinished but i like the top one as it is ..my favorite too ..i also like pebeo transparent ink brilliant watercolour

thanks john how's the new easel ? i know you like ink :)i've always loved drawing and draughting with ink pens ..fun to use ink in washes ..have you seen maggie latham's ink and wash tutorials?

jane i like the combination alot..lots to learn ... wanted to try some resist techinques ..just read a very good artical on ink + gouache in artist and illustrators by Chris Rigby
