What a good idea, Jane. I used to take more time to experiment with my paints, see how they acted ... I should get back to that!

Also need to do a bit of this... I love texture so should have a go at things like this which create unusual effects

hope you do laura ...making lots of swatches at the moment..i've got 4 classes of toddlers to enjoy experimenting with in the next few months:)

doug you made me laugh :) ...sorry the photos aren't great when up loaded ...these swatches are different from what i did with both my daughters when they were toddlers ...i used a cartridge paper here interesting marks i'd like to try hot press ...will post other swatches soon!

hi jeanette thank you the SAA just used my painting as an example ...i was fascinated watching these dry and by the organic forms ...i just lay the paper gently over the bubbles ...shapes were random ..some i left flat others tilted .

brusho would be interesting to use too judith .

sandra the pooling of water and pigment creates the beautiful marks on the smooth paper..can't believe the owner of the bear has been found :)
