Hello Jane:) I love the beautiful effects you had with the watercolor + string. Only, I do not exactly what you mean by string. In duch it is underwear:) Google doesn't give a propiate translation. Please explaine. Thank you!

renate :D twine or string hope that helps ..i used a natural twine here .

glad your enjoying washes sadami ..thankyou !

judy the suggestion was given to me by jean ...it's similiar to using compasses for drawing circles ....hold one end of the string and turn the other end in a circle clockwise/anti - clockwise ...effects are interesting ..thanks

These are so interesting Jane. Thanks for the explanation-I thought at first you laid the string into the wash. Maybe we can try that too!

hi christy thanks ... sorry didn't make it clear i laid string on a wet wash in the last three blue washes at the bottom
2 of the washes were with the string painted ..the last one with the string just wet and no paint .

Hai Jane:) It was the last thing I expected. At least, when I'm right: a twine of a tree? :) Thank you for explaining!!
